Must read suspense thriller!

I love a good thriller and this book is full of deception, lies, and suspense. This book certainly defines a suspense thriller and the fascination and excitement to keep reading just so you can discover what happens is non-stop. There are certainly unpredictable, mysterious, and unlikable characters but they make this story fantastic. In fact, I may not like any of the characters but the character building and simplicity of the some the characters intrigued me enough that I could not put this book down. I can certainly see this book being transformed into a movie or some type of entertainment. It is hard to discuss this book without giving anything away so the best discussion I can have is that everyone needs to read this book! It is truly a book that is hard to put down. I love that this book is from three different points of views and certainly adds a different perspective to each character and adds another twist as you read! I enjoyed the epilogue at the end that leaves you pondering just like the rest of the book did! Great job Marti Green!

Fun Mystery

This was the first book I have read by Ann Swann and it certainly will not be the last. She is an excellent writer who does a fantastic job with character building. I truly felt like I had just finished watching a movie after reading her book. The characters are well described and the scenes are set vividly. This book was especially fun since it was set in the late 90's, in the days before cell phones and internet accessibility.

Matt and Gabi are seniors and have been in class together all year. They live in Texas and it's 1999. They decide to go to prom together and one dance was all it took to feel the instant connection. Things take a horrible turn after Prom leaving life forever changed for Gabi. She begins to travel to different places with new adventures and possible new love interest. Gabi can not let go of the mystery of what happened back in Texas especially after Matt's cousin, Rose makes her appearance. Gabi returns to Texas to see if she can find out who is responsible for the remains at the pond and it leaves you guessing to the very end! I loved how this book builds the mystery and you wonder throughout the entire book until it comes full circle!

Fun and Cozy Read

I absolutely love Heather's writing. I have read several of her books and different types of books and her writing is always entertaining and inviting to read. Where I Belong is an appealing and captivating modern day fairy tale even with Jane owning her own cleaning company.

Jane moves back to Pine Valley to take care of her diabetic father and starts her own cleaning company. Jane's parents are divorced and her father lives in a nursing home. Jane's interactions with the other residents at the nursing home adds another element to her fun loving personality.

Cameron is currently in a relationship; however, they don't seem like the perfect match. Cameron comes from a wealthy family and his father is a pompous, self-absorbed man but Cameron has a kind heart and full of emotions. Cameron's mom is spunky and will make you laugh out loud a couple times, especially concerning Cameron's girlfriend, Crystal.

This story is a sweet and sentimental story that is a quick easy read. It certainly has a happy ending with a lot of twists to get to the end. True love does find its way to the end and there is also an appearance of Jeff from Worth the Risk, the first book in this series. I really hope we get to see more of the characters from Where I Belong in the 3rd book!

Compelling and Emotional Story

This story certainly makes you stop and think throughout the entire book. It not only is a story that teenagers in high school can relate to but even as adults we face insecurities and consequences of these insecurities. Tia Souders did a wonderful job unfolding this complex matter. Grace is a high school student who was generally merry, very artistic, and attentive to her friendships. Cara is her best friend and her brother Jake has been in love with Grace for years. Grace also has a twin named Kelly. I would have loved a little more perspective and character building on Kelly but it really wasn't necessary for the story to unfold.

Grace attended a weight loss program and quickly changed her attitude and personality. She began to hang out with new friends and she had the pressure to date the quarterback and to possibly become prom queen. She was often concerned and has a false sense of reality when she would hear her new friends talk about how overweight some people were and was afraid that she was still overweight. Grace slowly drifted from her friendship with Cara and Jake. Her family doesn't really help until the end and really never intervened.

Grace often could not see her true self when she looked in the mirror. She always felt like she was too big or had put on weight even though she was well below a 100 lbs. but still thinks she is fat. She often seem to feel as though she did not measure up to the pressure of society and could not see her true self.

This story starts at the end of the story and then it takes you to the beginning which is fun to read. Tia Souders did a great job with the writing and appeal to want to see what happens. Sometimes it takes true friendship and the boy next door to see the magnificence in the mirror and the reality of life. Often times we put too much emphasis on outer beauty and skip the inner beauty which is most important. We are all created differently and serve different purposes. The pressure put on us is often from others dreams of us and not our on individual desires and dreams.
