If your looking for a light hearted, fast, fun beach read then this is the book for you. Actually if you enjoy a clean contemporary romance book then you would certainly enjoy this book. Eric and Jayla are fun characters that Rachel Matthews does a wonderful job in their character development and truly getting to know these two individuals.
Eric is a business man that is a widow and does not want to love again or even explore the possibilities. He is often detached, distant or hardhearted towards women that he meets. Jayla is an energetic, authentic, positive and heartfelt photographer. She has a strong passion for her photography, especially the possibility of an amazing job in Rio. The writer does a great job of world building and describing the scenery of Rio, California and New York.
Little does Jayla know that this potential job is a set up by Eric and he has an important question to ask her. Eric needs Jayla's help to satisfy his potential investors for a job in Rio. Pretending can only go so far because there is a connection between Jayla and Eric. There is not only a connection emotionally but also physically. This is certainly a case of opposites attract. Will Jayla help soften Eric's hard heart and open the door up for love?
While this book is pretty predictable it is still enjoyable to read. There are some discrepancies throughout the book but just in some of the little details. I did receive this book for an honest review from ebooks.
